This September, Music Director Gustavo Dudamel leads the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela for a seven-city, eight-concert festivals tour of Europe.

The tour launches on September 1 at the Baltic Sea Festival, where Gustavo and the Bolívars will perform Desenne's Hipnosis Mariposa, Villa-Lobos's Bachianas brasileiras No. 2 plus Ravel's Suite No. 2 from Daphnis et Chloe and La Valse. They present this program on September 2 at the Helsinki Festival.

On September 4, the orchestra returns to London's Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms, reprising their program of the music of Desenne, Villa-Lobos and Ravel. Gustavo and the orchestra are once more joined by Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Cynthia Millar for Messiaen's Turangalîla-Sinfonie on September 11 at the Lucerne Festival, and close the tour with Messiaen's monumental work on September 13 at the Berliner Festspiele.
