Paris Opera announces 2022-23 Season

The Paris Opera has announced its 2022-23 Season, which is Gustavo’s second as Music Director. The season features Gustavo leading staged productions of Puccini’s Tosca, Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde, a new production of John Adams’ Nixon in China directed by Valentina Carrasco, and Thomas Adés’ Dante project, which is choreographed by Wayne McGregor.

In September, Gustavo will conduct Mahler’s Symphony No. 9 at the Paris Philharmonie, as well as in touring performances at Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu, and Victoria Hall in Geneva. Performances in April will feature Gustavo conducting music by Messiaen, Haydn, Ravel, and Strauss, at the Paris Philharmonie, as well as on tour at the Musikverein in Vienna, and London’s Barbican Centre.
